ABOUT ME

I have lived with a severe nut allergy my whole life. I carry an Epipen injection and have to live with the possibility that my allergy could one day kill me. Whilst I am extremely careful about what I eat I try to ensure that I have a normal life and I certainly don't let my nut allergy prevent me from eating out, travelling to different places and enjoying new experiences. However, through these experiences, I have come across very different attitudes to my allergy from being very re-assuring and professional to refusing to serve me a burger because of a fear of liability. I therefore decided to start to document my experiences to raise awareness of allergies and to also provide a guide of places to visit and avoid for fellow allergy sufferers. 
My experiences are shared by my very supportive husband who, in order to avoid further questions as to why he can't eat nuts too, tells everyone he all has a severe nut allergy!
