The Naked Deli, Gosforth

The Naked Deli in Gosforth is somewhere that I have always wanted to try. They specialise in healthy, organic, non-processed food. I love fresh salads and fresh food so I was looking forward to trying the Naked Deli.

However, I quickly reviewed the menu online to check whether nuts featured heavily on the menu. I noticed that gluten free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian products were highlighted on the menu but nothing about nuts (despite the menu featuring a number of products with nuts in). I therefore decided to call the Naked Deli and ask what their policy was about nut allergies. I was advised that it was probably too risky to eat at the Naked Deli given that there are nuts used in a lot of the products and are therefore in the kitchen. I didn't take the risk and I would advise those with a severe nut allergy to think twice before eating here. I therefore give the Naked Deli a rating of 1 out of 5.
