Overnight stay at Close House

My husband and I recently treat ourselves to an overnight stay at Close House, Northumberland. It was our anniversary so I had called ahead and arranged for a cake. The chef was great. I told him I had a nut allergy and he was lovely about it. He suggested a strawberries and cream sponge cake. When we arrived at Close House it was in our room ready. It was delicious!

We ate in the restaurant on the evening and had a very similar experience. The staff seemed to be well equipped to deal with my allergy and I felt comfortable eating there. Overall I’d rate Close House 5/5 for their professionalism in dealing with my nut allergy and for making me feel comfortable. The rooms at Close House are really impressive too so it’s definitely worth a stay over!
