The Beehive Inn, Earsdon

We recently tried the Beehive Inn in Earsdon following a recommendation from a friend. The atmosphere and food make it a great place for a date night (with a dog)! We hadn’t booked so we were originally told we could have an hours wait but luckily we got a table within 15 minutes. It’s definitely advisable to book, especially if you have a dog with you as they only have a small room that they allow dogs in.

We thought about ordering starters but in the end opted straight for main course (and potentially dessert later). I ordered Seabass with Burmese curry sauce with coconut rice and an onion and coriander salad. I wouldn’t normally order something like this as it is something I would consider higher risk from a nut allergy perspective but the menu was labelled with what had nuts in. We also asked the staff and they double checked with the chef and confirmed it was ok. This therefore made me feel comfortable.

My husband ordered a ribeye steak with all the trimmings (homemade chips, onion rings, tomatoes, mushrooms and peppercorn sauce). Both our meals were delicious. Mine was fresh and luckily not spicy at all.  My husband really enjoyed his steak too! After our mains we were too full to try dessert! We didn’t want to overdue it.

We had a lovely evening at the Beehive Inn and will definitely be back to try the dessert. We’ve heard the Sunday dinners are amazing too!  From a nut allergy perspective they were very good- they had any dishes with nuts in listed on the menu and double checked with the staff (what more can you ask for). 5/5 for the Beehive Inn!
