Tesco’s change in allergy labelling

Some of you may have noticed that Tesco have recently updated their allergy labelling and additional allergens have been added to some labels. I’ve particularly noticed that Tesco’s Finest meal deal foods have been updated. Many of these products now include peanuts as a separately listed item in the ‘may contain’ notice. 

Whilst I appreciate Tesco need to be accurate with their labelling, I wonder whether there is something that has changed in the manufacturing process which justifies this labelling. I intend to contact Tesco to find out so I will keep you updated!

For me, this new addition to the labelling makes me very concerned and I will therefore avoid this food.
